Scoped claim review: 2026-10-25
Verification scope: Local fare-health review dated2026-10-25: legacy mixed/unknown trip-type observations are not comparable to one-way observations; zero routes with two comparable one-way snapshots. Historical percent changes, causal narratives and cheapest-week claims retired. No live quote or market trend asserted.

> Read observed fares from Thailand, separate one-way and return prices, and compare dates and baggage without treating mixed data as a market trend.

**The data does not show whether fares from Thailand are rising or falling. It cannot tell us the best week to book.** The old fare records mix trip types, or do not state them. We cannot compare them with the one-way fares now tracked. On 25 October 2026, no route yet had two matching one-way price records.

## Why this article changed

We removed the tables of changes in percent, cheapest-week rankings and claims about travel demand. Six old price records do not prove that the same type of trip was tracked for six weeks. Prices in Thai baht and matching route names are not enough if dates, trip types or included services differ.

This page now explains the limitations and a practical way to compare offers. It does not recommend waiting for a lower fare based on data that cannot support that conclusion.

## An observed price is not a confirmed booking price

A route page may show a fare found in an earlier search with its date and context. Use it as a starting point for a search, then check seats and prices for the flight you want. A missing price record does not prove that no airline serves the route.

Open the [route catalog](/en/flights/) and enter airports, dates, travelers and trip type. Do not use a one-way amount as a return-trip budget. Search the return leg instead of simply doubling the outward fare, since the two directions may have different prices.

## Check that the offers are comparable

| Item | What should match or be clearly distinguished |
|---|---|
| Airports | Origin and destination airport codes |
| Trip type | One-way against one-way; return against return |
| Travel dates | Departure and return dates |
| Travelers | Number, ages and cabin class |
| Baggage and extras | The same service you needs included in the total |
| Currency | One currency or a record of the real exchange rate |
| Search time | The date and time of each quote |

Different dates can be useful alternatives for planning. Comparing them does not prove that the same flight became cheaper. When an airport, date or service changes, label it as a different option and show that difference.

## Why a percentage can mislead

A lower number may omit the return flight, use another date or airport, or exclude a checked bag. Even a correctly calculated percentage then compares different types of trip. Having several price records does not solve this problem if their terms do not match.

Minimum fares alone also do not prove that Hajj travel, holidays or family visits caused a change. Such explanations need more proof than the price price records. We do not use the old history to recommend a buying window for those traveler groups.

## Use current quotes to plan today's budget

If you can change dates or airports, search each practical option with otherwise matching conditions. Record the total, baggage and change rules. Keep the search date separate from the travel date: they describe different things.

Add verified quotes to the [trip budget comparison](/en/tools/trip-budget/), including seats you need and airport transport for the whole group. Include accommodation if an early flight or an airport change requires an extra night. The right choice depends on your trip's actual cost and terms, not a promise that a cheaper price will appear later.

Save each quote's details and check them again before paying. A cached amount is not reserved inventory. If the seller's final amount changes, compare that new amount with other quotes with the same terms rather than relying on the earlier display.

## FAQs

### Why are there no longer tables of rising and falling fares?
The older price records contain travel conditions that are not comparable. Their changes in percent are no longer presented as proven trends.

### Does a lack of two comparable snapshots mean no tickets are available?
No. It means the series is not long enough to measure a change between price records with the same terms. Search the actual flights to check availability.

### Where can I find a price for my travel date?
Select a route from the catalog, then search with your airports, dates and travelers. Confirm the final amount and services with the seller before paying.

## Data scope

The **25 October 2026** review uses local Travelpayouts/Aviasales price records and their stated trip types. It does not measure the entire market or guarantee seats. Read our [pricing methodology](/en/methodology/) for how to interpret the displayed amounts.
